MonthDue

Terms of Service

Last updated 29 October 2026. Draft: have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it.

These terms are an agreement between [Legal entity name] ([Registered address]) ("we") and the firm that creates a MonthDue account ("you"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of your firm.

1. The service

MonthDue lets accounting and bookkeeping firms send recurring document requests to their own clients, receive uploads, run automatic checks on them, and download them.

Automatic checks are an aid, not a guarantee. They can miss problems or flag correct files. You remain responsible for reviewing documents and for your professional work.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep passwords private, and are responsible for everything done through your account and your team members' accounts.

We strongly recommend two-factor authentication for everyone on your team.

3. Your clients and their data

You may only send requests to people you have a business relationship with and a lawful basis to collect documents from.

You own the data you and your clients put into the service. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only to provide the service to you, as described in the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.

You must not use the service to collect payment card numbers, government ID scans, or other data we don't support, or to send spam.

4. Plans, payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record and handles tax and invoicing. Dodo's terms also apply to your payment.

Each plan includes a number of active clients and users. If you go over, you can't add more until you upgrade or archive some.

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We don't give partial refunds, except where required by law or stated in a specific offer (such as the founding offer's 30-day guarantee).

We may change prices with at least 30 days' email notice. The change applies from your next renewal after the notice period.

5. Acceptable use

Don't break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malware, try to access other firms' data, probe or overload the service, or resell it without our written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules or put other customers at risk. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change features; if we remove something material you rely on, we'll give reasonable notice.

7. Ending the agreement

You can delete your firm at any time from Settings → Profile. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach.

When the agreement ends, we delete your data as described on the Security page and in the Data Processing Agreement. Download anything you need first.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. General

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country / state]. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email account owners at least 30 days before they take effect.
